Healthcare Scientist Specialist

I joined UK NEQAS Parasitology in 2020 as a Healthcare Scientist Specialist. I hold a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and an MSc in Medical Microbiology. Prior to joining the department, I worked in different roles within UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), formerly Public Health England (PHE).

My specialist expertise is in the freeze-drying of a wide range of specimens. In my current role, I am responsible for the preparation of parasitology EQA specimens for the various schemes. I also oversee the implementation and maintenance of health and safety procedures and protocols within the department, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
